Worked as Principal Environment Artist at 1047 Games on Splitgate 2.

Glacier was one of our first Battle Royale map in Splitgate 2, and one of the more ambitious undertakings in terms of both scale and visual identity.

Early in development, I took the initiative to join the artistic vision and technical approach for the landscape and biome kit side of the project. I helped drive the creation of the biome team and initially led the direction of the Biome Team.

My focus early on was setting the foundation for our environment workflows, particularly around kit modeling and sculpting, landscape materials and asset creation. I helped prototyped the snow and ice shaders, which were essential for achieving the right visual read under our lighting setup. The ice material used a parallax technique to achieve depth, while the snow required multiple iterations to refine its look.
Once the materials and look were locked in, the broader team moved into sculpting, baking, and placing the environment assets across the map, conforming to level design requirements while staying true to the art direction.

We collaborated closely with our concept team from the beginning, using early concepts to align both gameplay and art teams. This alignment helped us balance creative ambition with production efficiency, ensuring the map looked cohesive while supporting gameplay needs.

Massive credit to the entire Biome team, their talent and dedication brought the Glacier vision to life.
